Rio+20: Turn the tide for our ocean

This June, 20 years after the first Earth Summit, leaders from around the world will return to Rio de Janeiro for the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development (Rio +20).

Oceans are one of the seven critical issues at Rio +20, and we want to see some meaningful decisions made that will restore and protect them and ensure they can sustain marine and human life in the decades to come.

To highlight the issue and depict the choices before governments right now, the Zoological Society of London and the Pew Environment Group have launched an animated film, Turn the tide for our ocean. Watch the film and see why it’s so important for world leaders to seize the opportunity at Rio +20 and protect the oceans for present and future generations.
